Producer Jennifer Klein’s star-studded 18th annual Day of Indulgence Party, held at her Los Angeles home Sunday afternoon, was nothing short of a decadence-filled soiree with an indulgent element at every turn.
Lucky attendees at the all-girls event, like InStyle’s September cover girl Kerry Washington (in Hatch), Jennifer Lopez, Amy Adams (in Thakoon), Isla Fisher (in BCBG), Anna Faris (in Perse and Isabel Marant), Constance Zimmer (in Madewell), Leslie Mann (in Stella McCartney), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (in Marc Jacobs), and Olivia Munn, among others, were treated to a day filled with luxe spa treatments, shopping, and delicious eats all over the home.
“It's so much fun,” Lopez, who last attended the event in 2014, told InStyle. “Such a girls' day.” The Shades of Blue star headed to the backyard for some retail therapy, where brands like Giorgio Armani Beauty, Alexis Bittar, Henri Bendel, and Atelier Cologne provided pop-up shops. While Lopez scooped up a red Lip Maestro hue from Armani, Isla Fisher and Amy Adams (below, with Rashida Jones) took home the Ultimate Nourishing Honey Mask from Fresh’s “Mask Menu” table, and Lea Michele swooned over the cruelty-free M.O.T.D. cosmetic brushes at Anthropologie’s booth, and the bralettes and Thinstincts at the Spanx station.
“I love coming here and being surrounded by such successful and strong, amazing women,” Michele (below, with Katharine McPhee) told us, moving on to describe the day as simply “fun.”
Meanwhile, Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner fell in love with the Rose Anonyme scent at Atelier Cologne, telling us (like many stars there) that the station was her favorite. “I chose sexy rose,” she said with a smile. “It’s good for dates.”

As for the spa treatments, America Ferrera shaped up her brows at Benefit’s brow bar before choosing a splash of red Deborah Lippmann nail polish for her pedicure. Bryce Dallas Howard (below, left), Isla Fisher, Katharine McPhee(below, right), Mandy Moore, and more took time to get neck and foot massages provided by masseuses from Four Seasons Beverly Hills, Babor, and Hotel Bel Air, while Shay Mitchell lounged in a Calypso St. Barth woven daybed by the pool as she took in hers. Guests also enjoyed eye treatments by the pool via an eye-tissue stimulating Foreo device called the Iris.
For the women attending the event, the day was also about spending time with girlfriends and reconnecting with those they hadn’t seen in a while. Howard, who sipped Icelandic Glacial water at the bash, told us her favorite part of the event was, “standing in a circle with Isla Fisher and Amy Adams and saying the only thing missing is Jessica Chastain.” She added with a laugh, “Jennifer [Klein] is a redhead as well, so there’s a nice, robust redhead population here at the party that just brings me a certain level of joy and comfort.”
Speaking of catching up, Washington and Lopez reconnected after the pregnant star munched on a salad bowl. “‘I'm going to have two like you” Washington, who is expecting baby no. 2, told J.Lo, palming her belly. “You're having twins?!" J.Lo asked. “No, just one here,” Washington replied with a laugh and later picked up a matching set of BedHead pajamas for her and her daughter.
As in years past, Washington enjoyed the day with her “ShondaLand girls,” including Bellamy Young, Darby Stanchfield, Katie Lowes, and Shonda Rhimes (above, left to right), who all synced their times of arrival with her to take in the experience together. The Scandal crew not only shopped together in the Theory boutique, but helped each other pick out lip hues at the Giorgio Armani station set up in the backyard as well. “I wish we could do Scandal lady shopping day all the time,” Lowes exclaimed with a smile as they walked around together.

“I love Jennifer [Klein], and I love that she smashes that myth about women not getting along,” Washington, who showed off her baby bump in a black, off-the-shoulder Hatch jumpsuit, told us. “This is a day where we all celebrate ourselves and celebrate each other ... it’s a special girl power day.”
As guests walked inside, they were greeted with mini bottles of Don Julio Tequila lemonade cocktails, as well as A Bed of Roses bouquets of soft, yellow hydrangeas, lilies and calla lilies sprinkled throughout the home. Catering by Phresh’s salad bar, which attendees like Haley Bennett and Kristen Bell (above, with Jones) raved about, topped a wooden dinner table complete with glass bowls filled with toppings like chopped cucumber, guacamole, shredded chicken, and a dozen salad dressing selections from Chop't. “It’s a tasty salad,” Bennett told us in between bites of hers. “I was just saying, I want this set up in my house every day.”
As for the sweets, guests like Shay Mitchell hit the candy table and grabbed bags of Sugarfina candies, and munched on Baked by Melissa macarons and Sidecar Doughnuts. Tracee Ellis Ross couldn’t resist grabbing a Cookie Chips bite from a nearby glass bowl, and Anna Faris (above, with Melissa Benoist and Alison Brie) stuffed a few frosted Megpies in her purse for her son with a giggle. “I have to get these for my son. What 4-year-old wouldn't love his mom bringing these home for him?” she said.
For Faris, the day was all about socializing, too. Her favorite part? “Running into friends that I never, ever get to see anymore,” she told us. “The sad truth is that so many women, for the most part, we don’t get to work together … women that we admire and are close with, or want to be close with. So it’s a rare opportunity.”
As the afternoon went on and Leslie Mann mingled with Amy Adams and Gillian Jacobs, the sweet treats kept coming, with trays of Teebsie Don Julio Watermelon Hibiscus popsicles and Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream sandwiches passed around, and guests munching on Edward Marc chocolate bark and dark chocolate coconut almonds, and Lily’s Sweets sugar-free chocolate sprinkled throughout the party. And that was just the eats. Attendees like Rachel Roy sipped cups of Suja Master Cleanse, while others like Isla Fisher and grabbed mini bottles of Freixenet Cava, which sat not too far from bottles of Detox Water. Lucy Hale (first below) took a peek at must-have beauty products and Jones continued making her rounds, this time greeting Lizzy Caplan (second below, right). Another favorite? Health-Ade shots of kombucha, which many stars sipped on and enjoyed together.

To complete the Day of Indulgence, Klein gifted guests with LeSportsac polka-dot weekenders, and Eagle Creek suitcases packed with high-end goodies like Dermaflash hair removal devices, Rituals bath products, Polaroid sunglasses, an UGG travel blanket and eye mask sets, Michael Todd beauty products, and Philips Rose Gold Sonicares.
As they waited for their cars to arrive, they were also treated to a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf coffee bar outside.
“It’s great that you can just walk up, get a manicure, get a massage, get your eyebrows done, have a pair of jeans, drink some champagne, have a cocktail, eat some candy. I mean, it’s like, what isn’t great?” Constance Zimmer told us before heading out. “Whenever I’m at these things, I leave and I feel like my cheeks hurt from smiling so much ... it’s such an incredibly supportive environment.”
